"Hopefulness is knowing that while early experiences shape the nervous system, ongoing experiences can re-shape it"

Welcome to Nested Hearts
Relational, playful and evidence informed therapy that honours the whole person.
Working across the life span with individuals, families, and groups, and offering supervision, professional training, and international consultancy.
Nested Hearts is the therapeutic practice of Sarah Daley, a Clinical Social Worker (AASW), Registered Play Therapist (APPTA) and Relational Integrative EMDR Therapist. Sarah works with children, young people, and adults, supporting emotional growth, regulation, and connection through relational, creative, and evidence-informed therapies.
Grounded in the values of clinical social work, Sarah’s practice is guided by dignity, compassion, and respect for each person’s inherent worth. Healing happens through safe, attuned relationships and a deep understanding of how systems, relationships, and early experiences shape wellbeing.
Her work integrates Play and Expressive Therapy, Attachment Informed EMDR, Parts Work, and Somatic and Polyvagal frameworks, helping each person work within their circle of capacity to build safety, regulation, and readiness for deeper healing. This approach supports the repair of early and intergenerational trauma, restoring connection across mind, body, and relationship.
Sarah also integrates Focused Psychological Strategies within a relational and attachment informed framework, blending evidence-based interventions with person-centred, trauma-responsive, and creative approaches. This ensures therapy is both clinically grounded and deeply human, responsive to each person’s story, nervous system, and environment.
Nested Hearts is committed to decolonising therapy, practising with cultural humility and awareness of power, privilege, and systemic context. The work honours collective ways of knowing, community, and identity, recognising that healing exists not only within individuals but also within relationships, families, and culture.
Alongside her therapeutic work, Sarah provides supervision, training, and consultation for professionals and organisations, including international consultancy in child development, trauma, attachment, and play therapy.
Nested Hearts is a neuro-affirming, inclusive, and trauma-informed practice. Sarah is an NDIS provider and an accredited NSW Victim Services provider, specialising in work with children, young people, and adults who have experienced developmental and relational trauma.
Healing at Nested Hearts unfolds through curiosity, creativity, and connection, within relationships that honour safety, diversity, and the inherent worth of every person.
